If wood cladding means you've got to spend your summer holidays staining grandma and grandpa's cottage, then read on!
Maintaining wood cladding is above all a question of aesthetics and the choices you make for the long term. Proper installation, combined with quality wood cladding suited to the geographical area where you live, are prerequisites for optimal ageing of your wooden façade.
Depending on the type of wood you choose, you can opt for unfinished natural wood cladding from the outset. This will naturally turn a silvery grey. If, on the other hand, you want to enjoy the grain of natural wood but with a touch of extra colour and protection, opt for a Sivalbp saturator. Depending on the exposure of your façade, without any special maintenance, the layer of saturator will fade over the years and turn a natural grey. If you want to retain the original colour of your cladding, simply apply a coat of saturator without stripping or sanding every 4 to 8 years.
Gone is the chore of brushing the entire façade before applying a coat of finish.
