The Nordic Pine species comes from responsibly managed forests in Finland. Durable up to 50 years, with a class 3 added durability thanks to the thermo-stabilisation process.
Sivalbp EcoThermo is an eco-friendly process with no chemical additives used. This process brings to the wood exceptional durability and stability (class 3.1 equivalent, CTB B+ certified), and a better resistance to outdoor weather conditions (no shrinking, no warping, neutralising of resin drips). Due to these characteristics, the Nordic Pine species is perfect for outdoor wood cladding.
The duramen (heart of wood), brings to the Nordic Pine species, a colour varying from pinkish to reddish-brown. Its rings form a contrasting grain. Its sapwood is wide, cream colored and has a less contrasty grain. The grain of the Nordic Pine is usually straight and averagely thin. The distinctive knots of this wood species are brown-tinted, quite large and crown-shaped.

Resin drips can be frequent on cladding in Nordic Pine when the wood is only dried, they are due to exposure. This phenomenon is neutralised by the thermo-stabilisation process.
