The Western Red Cedar Clear II is a Canadian timber, naturally class 3.2, sourced from sustainably managed forests. The Western Red Cedar is very light-weighed, stable and easily manufactured softwood.
This variety shows contrasted appearances and colours. With very few knots, it is particularly adapted to contemporary architecture. It is guaranteed rot-resistant and durable up to 50 years. It is ideal for building exterior cladding.
The Western Red Cedar Clear II cladding has very contrasted colours:
- Beige brown
- Pinkish brown
- Dark brown
- Black brown
Wood being a natural material, it can present a range of different colours.
The Western Red Cedar is a naturally durable variety. If the cladding is not covered by a finish, and according to its exposure, it will evolve and take a silver grey shade.
Sivalbp undertakes to manufacture in global 98% knotless Western red cedar clear II wood cladding. It is yet tolerated to find a 20mm knot per board. Thanks to this overall lack of knots, this variety is ideal in architecture.
